About Gaspard
Gaspard is an up-and-coming French team event rider, currently based in the Surrey hills in the UK. Originally from Laval, France, he began his riding career at the tender age of 11 and began his success by winning the French Junior championship at just 16 years old. After achieving the Ambassadeurs Sportifs Lavallois in 2011 and 2013, Gaspard then made the decision to move to the UK in order to focus full time on pursuing a career in three-day eventing.
Upon arriving in the UK in 2013, Gaspard was fortunate enough to be based with international rider Andrew Nicholson before going on to work for Sam Griffiths the following year. Having gained invaluable knowledge and experience during his time with these eventing legends, Gaspard then worked for the Morelands Stud before setting up his own yard.
Gaspard now has an exciting string of very talented horses, in both eventing and showjumping, supported by a group of wonderful owners. World Equestrian Games
A week to remember in Pratoni!
Zaragoza scored a personal best dressage score of 27.1 before storming around the Cross Country within the time, one of only a few horses to do so.
A brilliant clear round on the final day saw her take 6th place and Gaspard finish as the hightest placed French rider,ending the year ranked 23rd in the world!
Haras du Pin
Gaspard and Zaragoza took a brilliant 4th place in the 4*S at Haras du Pin in a World Class field. In addition, Gaspard was also part of the French Nation's Cup team which took 2nd place in the team competition.
Following their excellent result, Gaspard and Zaragoza were selected to represent France at the World Equestrian Games in Pratoni!
Hickstead
A busy week at the Hickstead Derby meet!
Luxuary B took a good win in a huge Newcomers, and went on to jump well throughout the week.
Zaragoza finished 2nd in a very competitive 1.25m class, jumping in the final in the main ring.
Delighted to also have three Ballypatrick horses jumping in the 5yo final in the main ring!
