About Gaspard
Gaspard is an up-and-coming French team event rider and international showjumper, currently based at Coombelands Equestrian in the UK.
Originally from Laval, France, he began his riding career at the tender age of 11 and began his success by winning the French Junior championship at just 16 years old. After achieving the Ambassadeurs Sportifs Lavallois in 2011 and 2013, Gaspard then made the decision to move to the UK in order to focus full time on pursuing a career in three-day eventing and showjumping.
Upon arriving in the UK in 2013, Gaspard was fortunate enough to be based with international rider Andrew Nicholson before going on to work for Sam Griffiths the following year. Having gained invaluable knowledge and experience during his time with these eventing legends, Gaspard then worked for the Morelands Stud before setting up his own yard.
Gaspard now has an exciting string of very talented horses, in both eventing and showjumping, supported by a group of wonderful owners. Chard Spring International
Our first visit to Chard, and a very successful week too!
La Carla H took a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 2* 1.30 tour - she's a very exciting prospect for the future. The young horse also had a great show with Orsolino S jumping clear every day to then take 4th place in the 5yo final. Our Foxglove had a win in the 1*YH 6yo class, despite being very green for her level. Gadea also jumped some super rounds in the 7yo classes.
Ballypatrick Tiberius jumped super in the ranking classes, placing 9th in the opening speed class before going on to take 3rd place in the 2* Grand Prix!
Burnham Market
Nice to finally see the sun shining!
Good weekend for the horse with Kan Do 2 having his final run before Badminton to put in a good Advanced double clear. Just Perfect was also having his first Advanced run and put in a great performance for his first run at this level - we are excited about his year ahead!
Zaragoza finished 6th in the 4*S, with a good double clear and only a few time faults after being held.

Sunshine Tour
Three super weeks on the Sunshine tour! Our first visit to Vejer and it was a great educational visit for the horses.
Ihaveadream Deluca was the star of our show, picking up multiple 6yo class wins and jumped super in the final. We are very excited about him!
Ballypatrick Tiberius jumped super in both the 8yo and 4* classes, jumping clear in the 4* 1.50m on the last day.
